H Echinodermata juga dapat dijadikan sebagai bahanmakanan. Mentimun laut setelah dikeringkan dijadikan bahan sup atau dibuat kerupuk; telur bulu babi dapat dimakan H Echinodermata juga bisa merugikan, karenamemakan tiram/ kerangmutiara.
